Dr. Kris Bhat received post graduate training in Internal Medicine followed by a Pathology residency at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX. He did his residency in Pediatrics at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN and Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bhat underwent allergy and immunology and did a pulmonology fellowship at Louisiana State University followed by a fellowship in pediatrics.

He continued with pulmonology at Indiana State University with the American Lung Association. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, which is a conjoint board of American Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He also is a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

He is a fellow of American College of Allergists, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society. He is a member of American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is also certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS).

Dr. Bhat has been the medical director of the Sleep Diagnostic Center in Beaumont, TX since 1996. He has been involved with sleep studies at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX since 1982. Sleep Diagnostic Center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in Beaumont, TX and Humble, TX. Dr. Bhat has extensive clinical and laboratory experience in sleep medicine.
